Early Symptoms

So, hubs and I have told NO ONE.  That's right. No.one! about what I am about to reveal on this little blog.  Thankfully, no one is interested enough I don't have many followers at the moment ;)  So, here I am telling the absolute biggest secret of all time to the virtual world!

I've taken two pregnancy tests which have both revealed a big fat POSITIVE.  OK, so one was a cheapo Family Dollar version, and I couldn't really tell if the positive in the window was accurate or if my pee had just made the colors run to show a positive test.  That was, until, hubs and I got all kinds of excited, celebrated with my favorite dinner (PIZZA HUT!), and stopped at Rite-Aid for some ClearBlue digital tests.  $15 dollars later, and we can finally put our doubts with the cheapo test to bed.

I'm freaking PREGGO!!!  We are soooooo beyond excited!  My first appointment is October 11, 2011 at 9:30AM and we'll be confirming that an itty bitty is on the way!!  Thinking we'll be celebrating bundle of joy in mid-May 2012.

So here are some early symptoms I've been experiencing:
-I'm freaking tired.
-Sensitive gums & teeth.
-I'm hungry. always.
-My face is broken out.
-I have a headache from he double l!  right on the top of my head.
-I can't remember the last time I slept through the night. Oh wait, yeah, I can, it was about 2 months ago.  pre-pregs
-Cravings:  hot sauce!  Pizza and chocolate.
-I have a mother's intuition that we're having a strong, healthy baby BOY!
-I'm freaking tired!
I can't wait to share this news with our family and friends and to start growing a baby bump.  I'm going through this pregnancy in style!  I have a  little maternity stash from Old Navy that I got last summer when they were having a huge online sale!

It's about time I start spending some time with my little blog.  I love reading other blog posts, but more often than not, I'm uninspired to come up with a post myself.  I'm fairly certain that once hubs gets us our iphones next month, I will be a blogging machine.  I just think it's so much more fun to post pics that I take myself, and having to upload them with the digital camera is such a pain in the ass.

That being said, I have a new-found love for a little website called pinterest.com  Love.it. no, seriously, LOVE IT!  Talk about inspiration.  I've already tried a few of the diy ideas, and have been so happy with how they've turned out.  (Again, would love to post pics of my finished products, but it's too much of a hassle!)  Here are some project that I've completed or am in the process of completing for Fall 2011!

Weight Watchers

Today at lunch I had to make a quick trip to Wally World.  While I was waiting for my one hour photos to finish, I decided to graze the isles.  While grazing, I whimsically decided that I am going back on Weight Watchers.  About a year ago, I used WW to jump start my weight loss.  I truly believe that WW + running is what started my 20+ pound weight loss in March 2010.

Although I still have about 15 more pounds to reach my goal weight of 135, my husband and I are currently TTC (trying to conceive).  Until I find out that I'm pregs, I'm going to continue on my WW journey.  In fact, I may continue with WW even while I'm pregs (*of course, not trying to lose weight, but just to remain healthy!)

I found an ahh-mazing lunch and snack today while on my graze--

For 6 measly points, I'm having a delicious, healthy and perfectly portioned meal!
Although my box says Jamaican-style chicken, the picture of this is the EXACT same one! (hmmmm...)
Calories: 300
Fat: 2.5g (rounded up to 3 for WW calculator purposes)
Fiber: 5g
Total Points: 6

For a snack, I'll be indulging in 2 points worth of this:
Calories: 130
Fat: 8g
Fiber: 2g
Total Points: 2

Since I'm allowed to have 22 WW points, I still have 14 points left for dinner.  We're having kind of a bigger dinner tonight which will consist of  mini meat loafs, corn on the cob and green beans--still only 6 points!!  Oh, and I will not be counting veggies or fruit as points.  Although, I think it's ridiculous to count fruits and veggies as points anyway, I've recently found out that WW has made this part of their plan.

After dinner tonight, I'll have 8 points left over, which I'll probably just save for this weekend :) :)

*You get 35 extra points per week to use for indulgences or days that you're over your allotted point intake
150 pound woman:
22 points per day

NIck & Vanessa

Dream Wedding!
OMG!  Have you seen Nick & Vanessa's Dream Wedding on TLC yet?  If not, must.check.out.NOW!  First, let me just say that I have always been a Nick Lachey stalker fan.  He is completely the man of my dreams.  His body type, personality, blue eyes, perfect teeth and lips might have something to do with that.

After watching the special last night, I have a new found love for Vanessa, but I still see Nick and Jessica as a better couple.  He seemed like he was more into JS than he is VM...I'm not sure if it's because Vanessa is so self-sufficient and doesn't need Nick to plan and implement her every move or what...

I love how down to earth Vanessa is.  She seems like a very educated, well-rounded, classy woman, and I really admire that in her.  Her hair is gorgeous, and she seems to have such a fun sense of humor--definitely someone I could see myself hanging with!
HOTTIES

what a fun couple!

Lots of Firsts and Family Fun: Summer 2011

It's already the end of July, which means that there are only a couple more months left of this beautiful sunshine and hott weather!  We've been busy and only seem to be staying home on the weekends that hubs has to work.  So far, we've had lots of family fun!
T watched her first baseball Loon's Baseball Game--she loved it!
T discovered her new love of corn on the cob and baked beans!
We celebrated Father's Day with Gramps at the baseball game!
I baked my first homemade apple pie
T had her first set of rollers in her hair!
We've done LOTS of golfing! (This is our first time out this year)
Lance and I went to our first concert:  Eric Church & Toby Keith
Our first July 4th together as a family!
Our 2nd annual trip to Naubinway, MI

AND Last, but not least, we've finally updated our family album with some AMAZING family portraits.
Here are a few...ENJOY :)

5 Things Friday

1. I'm heading to a baseball game tonight with my two sisters, 15 month old, hubs, cousin, dad and dad's wife (she actually prefers to be called that over stepmom!).  The funny part is, one of my sister's, Lexi, isn't my dad's daughter.  The cool thing is that that same sweet sister (who also happens to be the most well-rounded 16 yr old I know) is taking one for the team to be me and hubs' DD!  Love you, Lex!

2. I'm really considering working the second part of the day from home so that I can go running, clean the house and take a shower before tonight's festivities.

3. It took a lot for me to MIS-match Teagie's clothes this morning for 'Mismatch' day at daycare.  I literally cringed when I dressed her in a navy and white polk-a-dot cardigan, green and white striped tank, and pink capris, with flowered socks and dress shoes, but then I remembered how fun it was to be participate in school spirit!!!  She still looked CUTE!

4. I have a million coupons on my kitchen table, a ton of baseball card holders in my car, and this weekend, I'm planning on clipping and organizing so I can be like those Extreme Couponers on TLC!

5. I've done so well on my goals this week, and I'm VERY proud of my sitck-to-it-ness!
